Welcome to Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Services (ORS-Physio)! The site tells you about me, Rachel Hall, about physiotherapy and acupuncture treatments, and about what you might expect to gain from them. I hope you find the site interesting and informative, but please contact me for more information or an informal talk without obligation if you have any questions.Click the link below for contact information |
With a degree in physiotherapy and further post-graduate study, I have worked for eight years in large NHS hospitals. As a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Organisation of Physiotherapists in Private Practice and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, and through my registration with the Health Professions Council, I am bound by the highest professional and medical standards. Physiotherapy is, of course, a wholly orthodox medical treatment – not an ‘alternative’ therapy outside traditional clinical practice. So patients are carefully assessed and treated by an experienced clinician using exercise, electrotherapies and mobilisations. (Medically-based physiotherapy is different to chiropractic and osteopathy that typically use strenuous manipulations.) |
Acupuncture is also used increasingly within the NHS and private practice – by medically qualified physiotherapists on the basis of their traditional training in physiology and anatomy. I provide sympathetic and skilled assessments and treatments for a wide range of conditions, including muscular and joint injuries and problems, sports injuries, occupation-related disorders and post-operative rehabilitation.
